Question by Hardcore liberal atheist hippie: Why do people deny scientific facts when it comes to nutrition?
Leading academic headquarters in Europe have dealt with the facts that the food is bad for us and show these foods causes cancer kommen.Viele are red meat, white bread, whole milk, bacon, sugar, salt, coffee, ham, butter, cheese, Eggs and Fett.Die Europeans have changed their diet, but deny nor American Science and eat more cancer-causing foods, why are proven other foods bad for us – ketchup, mustard, canned soups and spreads (including jam / jelly) Mayonnaise is bad for us I think chicken is bad as well, white meat is full of salt, afterall!

maybe people don’t believe what they read.
Well, that’s simple really. Red Meat(Steak), White bread, Whole Milk, Bacon, Sugar, Salt, Ham, Butter, Cheese, and Eggs… Are delicious. There is no “real” scientific proof that all or any of these foods cause cancer but only studies that relate them to cancer, just like there are studies that relate them to autism and every other thing that is wrong with you and everybody else in the world. You can’t always believe everything you read. Europeans drink more coffee than Americans anyways.
Those foods that you listed are also a part of EVERY American’s diet because they are staple foods, if we cut them out we would have nothing left. The only thing you didn’t list was chicken, I am not eating chicken every day for the rest of my life.
“Fat” is also very vague.
Yeah, so europeans simply change their diets. It’s always been that way and that’s the way that it no doubt will stay
I wouldn’t say europeans have changed their diet. Everyone I know eats the same as they always have.
The reason some people deny scientific evidence though can be explained psychologically through cognitive dissonance (holding two conflicting points of view at the same time) they have one view which tells them these foods are potentially harmful and another view which says I enjoy eating these foods. In order to resolve this dissonance they will often discount the research “Oh apparently everything causes cancer nowadays.” or “I don’t want some scientist telling me what I can and can’t eat.” thus allowing them to continue eating the foods they enjoy.
Because bacon is tasty, red meat is tasty, butter is tasty, eggs are tasty, coffee, sugar, salt, cheese all yummy as well.
The thing is these items are not bad in and of themselves. It is a matter of moderation.
I think you have a lot of your “Facts” wrong as well. I know for certain that the largest consumer of cheese is the French. They are European are they not? Butter is consumed in massive quantities in many of the Nordic countries.Charcuterie is highly prized in many European countries.
Eggs recently were cleared of all wrong doing and actually were found to be one of the perfect foods for humans. In fact the only food that contains all the amino acids that human needs.
I have not seen these studies you speak of and doubt they exist since there is no conclusive evidence as a to a DIRECT connection to cancer. There are many variables and while some food may have links to cancer they are not the sole cause.

alot of it is Americana’s over processed and hormone steroid grown/fed food..
Cancer? not that big a problem about a hundred years ago.. when people had whole unpasteurized and un homogenized milk, bacon, coffee, eggs, and cheese for breakfast.. a lot of that all home grown… and maybe some free range steak and tea with real raw sugar. people’ve been eating those things for countless generations and have been fine.
these days basically everything, even the fruits and veggies (pesticides anyone?) we eat can contribute to cancer, as well as not having nearly as much original nutrients as they would have had a hundred years or so ago and grown organically.. so why worry about it and just enjoy your life and eat what you want.. because in the end, cancer will get you
even the sun, the source of all living energy on this planet can give you cancer. so in the end, it’s a moot point. don’t smoke, stay active, eat the best you can, get some sunlight but not to much.
